A buddy at work wanted a solid king size bed that wouldn’t fall apart before you got it out of the box. After making some mental notes I got to work.
Made use of this old door for part of the headboard.
Then built the rest of it.
Made the rails and head and foot boards. I used joist hangers for the middle supports. That way the bed will disassemble and assemble easily.
And gave it some stain and clear coat.
Then assembled it in our “showroom” for the final pic.
